Meetings are broken. Vowel is fixing them. Their platform helps distributed teams host and record meetings, with tools to annotate conversations in real-time, tag action items, call back ideas verbatim—and a whole lot more. They came to us looking for a strategic framework that would help set them apart in an increasingly crowded virtual conferencing space. Together we created an all-new category—the Meeting OS—then designed UX and wrote website copy introducing the category to the world.
Through a series of strategy meetings with the leadership team at Vowel, we uncovered a simple truth: While teams are more and more distributed, and video conferencing tools have become more and more ubiquitous, the result has just been more meetings—not better ones.
This insight paved the way for an entirely new category of product: The Meeting OS. Way more than just another video conferencing tool, Vowel’s Meeting OS is a new platform for capturing every meeting to make them searchable, taggable, and connected to every team member. It’s a holistic system for better meetings and lasting content.
Leaning into their category story, Vowel introduced themselves to the world in late 2020, and quickly raised $4.3 Million in seed funding.
